3rd International Franchise Conference and Exhibition opens at ADNEC

ABU DHABI, 18th November, 2015 (WAM) — The 3rd International Franchise Conference and Exhibition, organised by the Chamber at the National Exhibition Centre Abu Dhabi, ADNEC, was opened by Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry today at ADNEC.

After a ribbon cutting ceremony, Al-Rumaithi toured the exhibition pavilions and was briefed on the products and services offered by international companies and institutions looking for local partners.

The exhibition has the participation of 108 companies from the UAE and more than 30 Emirati brands and franchise companies from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, European Union, India, Hong Kong, Brazil, Malaysia, Cyprus and Canada.

Al Rumaithi expressed his delight at the broad participation of UAE brands and companies at the session, pointing out that the exhibition will contribute directly in finding unique investment opportunities for owners of small and medium enterprises and young Emirati businessmen.

He affirmed that the Chamber, in organising the exhibition within the framework of its strategy to support young entrepreneurs and citizens, encourages them to take advantage of franchise projects as well as spreading awareness of franchise as a means for development of investment and business, and to provide opportunities to create successful partnerships between foreign companies, Emirati businessmen and owners of small and medium enterprises in the UAE.

Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, lauding their continuous support for the Chamber and private companies and institutions in Abu Dhabi.

Al Muhairi added that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is organising the international exhibition for the third year in a row, within the context of the Chamber’s keenness to support and spread the culture of free business and to encourage young citizens to establish private projects through franchise.
